Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required.
• SFM FF 1, IFSAC FF1 certifications required.
• Hazardous Materials FRO and survival standards required.
• State or National Registry EMT/CPR/AED with San Diego County card.
• CPAT or Bittle fitness test required.

Responsibilities

• Protects the community by fighting fires, EMS, and rescue work.
• Responds to fires, medical aids, and car accidents with appropriate treatment.
• Participates in drills and training for firefighting.
• Maintains station grounds, living quarters, apparatus, and equipment.
• Performs daily equipment checks and inspections.
• Participates in fire inspections and public education.
• Follows tribal and department policies; adheres to safety regulations.
• Assists with prevention and suppression techniques; operates firefighting equipment.
