Rural King in Godfrey, IL is hiring a Firearms Sales Associate to deliver knowledgeable customer service on firearms, ammunition, and related products. You will help customers identify needs, provide product information, process transactions, and support promotions.

Responsibilities include adhering to federal, state, and local laws, completing required compliance training, maintaining accurate records, and keeping displays neat and compliant.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in firearms sales, sporting goods, retail, or related area preferred.
• Knowledge of firearms, ammunition, accessories, safety practices, and applicable laws/regulations.
• Strong customer service, communication, and active listening skills.
• Ability to complete transactions and documentation accurately.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and identify needs, preferences, and budget.
• Provide knowledgeable product information and recommendations.
• Assist customers with firearms, ammunition, accessories, and related products.
• Process sales, special orders, returns, payments, and documentation via POS.
• Support promotions, upselling, cross-selling, and loyalty programs.
• Follow laws and regulations related to firearms sales and transfers.
• Maintain accurate records and promote safe practices.
• Keep displays clean, organized, and accurately priced.
• Participate in cross-training and other duties as assigned.
