Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Firearms Sales Associate to provide knowledgeable customer service while assisting with firearms, ammunition, accessories, and related products.

This role requires firearms product knowledge, sales and compliance with applicable laws and regulations, accurate transactions, and a commitment to safety. You will work in a fast-paced retail environment, maintain displays, and participate in promotions and loyalty programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous firearms sales or related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of firearms, ammunition, accessories, safety practices, and applicable laws and regulations.
• Strong customer service, communication, and active listening skills.
• Ability to accurately complete transactions, documentation, and other detail-oriented tasks.
• Ability to use POS systems, computers, and retail technology.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, confidentiality, and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, identify needs and budget, and provide knowledgeable product information and recommendations.
• Assist customers with firearms, ammunition, accessories, and related products.
• Process sales, special orders, returns, payments, and required documentation through the POS system.
• Support sales through promotions, upselling, cross-selling, and loyalty program awareness.
• Follow all laws and regulations related to firearms sales and transfers; complete required compliance training.
