Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; firearms safety training a plus.
• Previous experience in firearms sales or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local firearms laws and transfers.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for customer engagement.
• Ability to listen, ask questions, and provide clear, articulate responses.
• Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
• Proficient in using computer systems for transactions and records.
• Commitment to a safe and secure shopping environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and create a welcoming atmosphere in the firearms department.
• Understand customer needs and budget to provide expert product recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local firearms laws and regulations.
• Complete required firearm compliance training and understand SOPs.
• Assist customers with ammunition, accessories, and related products.
• Maintain an organized firearms display with accurate labeling and pricing.
• Process transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Stay informed on firearm trends, models, and industry news.
• Provide friendly, proactive support and resolve customer inquiries promptly.
• Build relationships to generate repeat business and referrals.
• Demonstrate product features and conduct demonstrations as needed.
• Utilize upselling and cross-selling techniques to increase sales.
