Job summary

Rural King Farm and Home Store is seeking a Firearms Sales Associate to deliver exceptional customer service and expert guidance on firearms and related accessories. You will greet customers, assess needs, and recommend suitable products while ensuring compliance with all laws and the store’s SOP.

You will stay informed about current firearm trends, demonstrate product features, and contribute to a safe shopping environment. This role requires strong communication and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; firearms safety training is a plus.
• Previous firearms sales experience preferred.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws regarding firearms sales and transfers.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with computer systems for transactions and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Engage customers to understand needs and budgets.
• Provide expert guidance and unbiased recommendations on firearms and accessories.
• Ensure compliance with laws and Firearms SOP.
• Assist with ammunition and related products selection.
• Operate POS and handle transactions/documentation.
• Maintain organized firearms displays and labeling.
