Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Firearms Sales Associate to deliver exceptional customer service and expert knowledge of firearms and related accessories. You will help customers navigate product features, safety practices, and regulations to ensure a positive shopping experience.

You will greet customers, discuss needs, provide recommendations, and help with selections while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in firearms sales or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local firearms laws and regulations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to listen actively and respond clearly.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficient in using computer systems for transactions and records.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and create a welcoming atmosphere in the department.
• Engage customers to understand needs and budget using the engagement model.
• Provide expert product guidance and unbiased recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with all firearm laws and regulations.
• Complete required firearm compliance training and SOP understanding.
• Assist with ammunition and accessory selection and upsell where appropriate.
• Maintain organized, labeled, and priced firearm displays.
