Job summary

Rural King in Vincennes, IN is seeking a Firearms Sales Associate to deliver exceptional customer service and expert guidance on firearms and related accessories. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, assist customers with selections, and process transactions accurately.

You will maintain an engaging firearms display, stay informed on trends, and participate in ongoing training and cross-departmental support to promote safe, responsible shopping experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; firearms safety training a plus.
• Experience in firearms sales or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local firearms laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and create a welcoming atmosphere in the firearms department.
• Provide expert guidance and unbiased product recommendations based on customer needs.
• Ensure compliance with all firearms laws, regulations, and safety practices.
• Process transactions efficiently using POS and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain organized, attractive firearms displays with accurate labeling and pricing.
• Upsell and promote RK firearms offers and protection plans.
• Assist with special orders, returns, and store inquiries.
• Contribute to visual merchandising and department upkeep.
