Job description

This position supports the production and assembly of Jacob Grey firearms by preparing, organizing, and moving components through the manufacturing process.

Daily work may include kitting parts for assembly, deburring machined components, lapping slides, staging parts, assisting with general assembly, and helping keep production moving in an organized and quality-focused way.

Every component matters. The work done in this role directly supports the fit, finish, consistency, and final quality of our firearms.

What You Will Do
  • Kit firearm components for assembly based on production needs and work instructions.
  • Deburr machined components and remove sharp edges, burrs, or minor imperfections.
  • Assist with slide lapping and other fitting-related preparation work under supervision.
  • Move components through manufacturing, production, and assembly stages.
  • Organize, stage, label, and track parts for production and assembly.
  • Support general firearm assembly tasks as assigned.
  • Inspect parts for visible defects, damage, or inconsistencies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Helpful Experience

Previous experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person if they have the right attitude, work ethic, and attention to detail.

  • Manufacturing, assembly, automotive, aerospace, machining, or firearms experience.
  • Deburring, polishing, sanding, fitting, lapping, or light finishing work.
  • Working with hand tools or small mechanical parts.
  • Basic understanding of firearms or firearm components.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit or stand at a workbench for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements.
  • Ability to visually inspect small parts and surface finishes.
  • Ability to lift and move parts, bins, and materials as needed.
  • Comfortable working around tools, oils, solvents, and manufacturing materials.
