Job description

Firearms Assembler

This position is responsible for assembling firearms with limited supervision. Work with small and large parts and hand tools for assembly. Perform related work in assessing quality standards and ensuring the product meets exacting specifications and standards.

Position Qualifications / Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience working with hand and power tools
• Must be comfortable around firearms
• Must be able to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment, including working in and around machinery, exposure to noise and chemicals

Preferred Skills

• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to sit for up to 10 hours a day

Core Duties

• Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions and parts lists; gather parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
• Position parts and subassemblies by using work instructions
• Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit and fastening parts and subassemblies
• Verify specifications by measuring completed components
• Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notify supervisor to obtain additional resources
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Hours

• 1st shift position
• Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
• Friday - overtime as needed

Special Requirements

Candidates that accept an offer of employment will be required to pass a background and drug screen. Candidates must also meet ATF requirements for firearm possession.
