Job summary

Scheels in the USA is seeking a Firearms Sales Associate who greets customers with courtesy, explains firearm options, and helps them make informed buying decisions while maintaining a positive store presence.

Responsibilities include completing Form 4473, licensing, background checks, stocking, and meeting sales goals. You will grow product knowledge through training, demonstrate safe handling, and uphold Scheels’ customer service standards in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; and/or one to three months of cashiering experience.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Ability to handle firearms paperwork and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all paperwork for firearm sales including form 4473, licensing, and background checks are completed accurately and thoroughly
• Consistently demonstrate proper firearm safety and handling
• Evaluate and appraise firearms for resale
• Greet customers on the sales floor with courtesy and a smile
• Promote the Scheels Visa Rewards card and explain benefits
• Attend all Scheels product training and store meetings
• Maintain a professional appearance on the sales floor
• Assist in all other assigned duties
