Job summary

Scheels in Appleton, Wisconsin, is seeking Gun Customer Service associates who greet customers, process purchases, and comply with ATF laws. You will help with firearm background checks, assist with Gun Room housekeeping, and promote the Scheels Visa card while delivering a personalized WOW experience. Flexibility is required: shifts from 9 a.m.

to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday (10 a.m.–6 p.m. Sunday), with varied hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Average 15 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months cashiering experience preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old due to firearm compliance.

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers with a smile when entering and exiting the store.
• Engage with customers to provide personalized service and support the digital receipt program.
• Accurately scan every item and ensure proper ringing and payment.
• Promote the Scheels Visa card and explain benefits.
• Process firearm background checks and related firearm transactions.
• Maintain firearm areas and assist with Gun Room housekeeping.
• Adhere to all ATF federal laws and guidelines.
