Job summary

ServiceMaster Restoration of Wilmington is seeking compassionate individuals for a restoration technician role. You will assess damaged properties, clean contents, remove and replace damaged materials, and sanitize restored homes.

This position requires safety awareness, strong communication, and the ability to work indoors and outdoors at residential and commercial sites. A typical week is five days, with some weekends and on-call work.

Position Overview

We are looking for compassionate, detail-oriented individuals to join our team as a restoration technician. The responsibilities of the restoration technician include assessing damaged properties to see what can be saved, cleaning damaged properties, removing and replacing damaged materials, and sanitizing the restored homes. To be successful as a restoration technician, you should have a keen understanding of safety gear and have excellent communication skills and social awareness. This position will require working indoors and outdoors in various settings; residential and commercial work sites. Physical effort is needed to endure working in extreme conditions, lifting and adjusting heavy objects, and working with materials that could potentially cause injury or illness. A typical work-week is eight (8) hour workdays, five (5) days per week with some weekend and on-call work as needed.

• Valid Drivers’ License and satisfactory driving record.
• Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to prioritize activities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to read and follow product label usage instructions.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Move up to 70 pounds often, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects.
• Stand and walk for extended periods of time. Lifting, squatting, crawling and crouching is required.
• Respirators, which are used in certain situations, must be able to seal to your face.
• Ability to work Inside and Outside, such as with or without air conditioning and heating.
