Job summary

The City of Charlotte Fire Department seeks a Fire Training Administrator to lead the administrative operations of the Learning and Development Program. This role manages the department's LMS and supports curriculum development with subject matter experts.

Responsibilities include administering Workday Learning, maintaining training records, creating instructional materials, and designing assessments to ensure compliance with NFPA and state requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent
  • Experience with LMS administration and instructional design
  • Experience designing and implementing training programs

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, deliver, and evaluate fire and EMS training and employee-development programs.
  • Partner with subject matter experts to assess learning needs and develop curricula (LMS).
  • Administer the Workday Learning Management System (LMS), including course setup, enrollments, completion tracking, reporting, and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate employee training and certification records.
  • Develop instructional materials, including lesson plans, guides, modules, and multimedia.
  • Design and evaluate assessments to measure learning outcomes and program effectiveness.
  • Analyze training data and prepare reports to identify trends and support leadership decisions.
