Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and five years of EMS/fire experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Knowledge of fire safety, prevention, and training program development.
• Familiarity with state and national certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the department's firefighting, hazardous materials, and related hazards training program.
• Develop, instruct, and evaluate training courses and curricula meeting certification requirements.
• Maintain training records and ensure certifications are current for all personnel.
• Coordinate with NH Fire Standards and Training and other training organizations.
• May act as safety officer for emergency scenes and assist in budget preparation and administrative tasks.
