Job summary

College of the Sequoias is seeking a Fire Technology Manager to oversee the Fire Academy programs in Hanford, CA. You will supervise staff, coordinate instructional activities on campus and off-site, and ensure compliance with state fire training standards.

You will develop schedules, manage safety plans, and collaborate with faculty to improve curriculum and program effectiveness while supporting student success in a diverse community college environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree (Bachelor's or Associate) and professional experience in the discipline.
• State Fire Training certifications are required or desirable.
• Ability to coordinate complex instructional programs and manage academy operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Fire Technology policies are followed by staff.
• Coordinate day-to-day operations of the Fire Academy at campus and off-site locations.
• Ensure compliance with State Fire Marshal and OSFM standards.
• Develop class schedules and provide logistical support for activities.
• Monitor student conduct and enforce academy policies.
• Recruit, select and evaluate staff; onboarding of new instructors.
• Collaborate with faculty to review curriculum and methods.
