Job summary

Aims Community College is seeking a leader to manage the Fire Science degree and certificate programs, ensuring CPAT program oversight and instructional support with minimal supervision. The role emphasizes accreditation compliance and program excellence.

You will recruit and supervise faculty, maintain equipment, coordinate state exams, and support student advising and program scheduling across degree and certificate pathways.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Fire Science or related field; four years of related work experience; one year in a supervisory role.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple programs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to form and maintain positive relationships with external partners.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Fire Science degree, certificate, and CPAT programs.
• Coordinate CPAT testing and state certification exams; manage equipment and inventory.
• Supervise fire training drill ground; implement risk management policies.
• Recruit, interview, and supervise instructors and staff; evaluate performance.
• Serve as first point of contact for grievances related to programs; address or escalate as needed.
• Ensure records meet accreditation standards and IAFF licensing requirements.
