Job summary

Total Safety in Baytown, TX is seeking a Fire Technician to service and inspect fire protection equipment in customer sites and shop settings. You will perform testing, maintenance, and repairs on extinguishers, alarm systems, detectors, and suppression components, while ensuring accurate documentation for invoicing.

Requirements include a valid driver’s license, insurability, and willingness to travel to customer sites; offshore travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires valid driver's license and insurability.
• Demonstrates ability to travel to customer sites, including offshore as needed.
• NI CET II or State licensing may be required within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs shop or field service, inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of fire equipment.
• Completes inspection/repair documentation with customer signature for invoicing.
• Conducts visual inspections and functional tests, reports deficiencies and corrective actions.
• Pre-job, job update, and post-job briefs.
• Assists with stocking, staging, and loading equipment for delivery.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area and vehicle.
• Operates safety equipment and test systems per manufacturer specs.
• Works in a team and is willing to take on new responsibilities.
