Job summary

Shambaugh & Son, L.P. is seeking a 1st Shift Fabricator for the Fire Fabrication Shop in Trinity, AL. The role focuses on fabricating pipe for fire protection systems, following detailed instructions and maintaining safety standards.

You will use various machinery, read diagrams, and assemble parts while coordinating with supervisors. This position requires physical stamina and weekend availability, with opportunities to contribute to large industrial projects.

Qualifications

• Read a tape measure to 1/4-inch accuracy.
• Dependable with good attendance.
• Willingness to learn and strong work ethic.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work Saturdays per schedule.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery as directed.
• Interpret assembly instructions and follow procedures.
• Listen to supervisor directions and report issues.
• Fabricate and assemble pipe per instructions.
• Read parts lists to verify components.
• Assemble tools, materials and components.
• Take/interpret measurements and verify specifications.
• Ensure proper fit and secure connections.
• Troubleshoot issues and assist maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Report production errors and help resolve issues.
• Other duties as assigned
