Job summary

Shambaugh & Son, L.P. in Trinity, AL is seeking a 2nd shift welder for our Fire Fabrication shop. You will operate a universal welder to weld and cut steel pipe, following blueprints and specifications.

Candidate must have 4+ years welding experience, be able to read a tape measure, and be dependable with good attendance. Weekend work may be required; safety and quality are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years welding experience
• Read a tape measure
• Able to work Saturdays
• Must be 18+ years
• Able to stand 8-12 hour shifts
• Able to pass a drug test
• Regular and reliable attendance

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and drawings
• Take measurements to plan layouts
• Set up welding machine according to specifications
• Weld components using semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
• Test all machine welds to ensure quality
• Weld by hand any leaks found in quality penetration die test
• Other duties as assigned
