Shambaugh & Son is seeking a 2nd Shift Fabricator for the Fire Fabrication Shop to fabricate pipe for fire protection systems. This role involves reading assembly instructions, using various machinery, and ensuring parts are properly fitted and assembled.

You will work with a team to meet production goals, maintain safety standards, and respond to issues with precision. Ideal candidates are dependable, detail-oriented, and able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.

Qualifications

• Read a tape measure down to 1/4 inch.
• Be dependable with good attendance.
• Willingness to learn and strong work ethic.
• Must communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Willing to work Saturdays.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Detail oriented and able to follow directions.
• Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to stand, bend, twist, and walk long shifts.
• Reliable attendance including overtime.

Responsibilities

• Use various machinery to fabricate pipe per instructions.
• Study and interpret assembly instructions and read parts lists.
• Listen to directions from supervisors and report errors.
• Fabricate and assemble pipe per project specs for fire protection systems.
• Ensure all parts are fitted and screws are secure.
• Troubleshoot issues and perform repairs with supervision as needed.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment.
• Document issues and communicate production status to team.
