Job summary

Shambaugh & Son in Trinity, AL is seeking a 2nd Shift Fabricator for the Fire Fabrication Shop to fabricate pipe for fire protection systems. You will work with various machinery and read assembly instructions to build pipe per specifications.

This full-time, onsite role requires attention to detail, dependable attendance, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. The job includes overtime and weekend work as needed.

Qualifications

• Read a tape measure down to ¼ inch
• Dependable with good attendance
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Ability to communicate ideas verbally and in writing
• Must be able to work Saturdays
• Must be 18 years or older
• Attention to detail
• Ability to follow directions and collaborate
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Able to stand, bend, twist and walk 8-12 hours
• Reliable attendance with extended hours/weekends as needed

Responsibilities

• Use various machinery
• Study and interpret assembly instructions
• Listen to directions from supervisors
• Fabricate and assemble pipe per instructions
• Read parts list and determine if all parts are present
• Assemble tools, materials, and components
• Interpret measurements
• Verify specifications
• Ensure parts are fitted and screwed in properly
• Resolve assembly and production issues with management's assistance
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform repairs as needed
• Ensure working environment is clean and safe
• Report errors in production
• Other duties as assigned
