Shambaugh & Son is seeking a 1st Shift Fabricator for the Fire Fabrication Shop to fabricate pipe for fire protection systems. You will read blueprints and assembly instructions, operate shop machinery, and assemble components per instructions.

The role requires physical stamina for 8–12 hour shifts, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a dependable work ethic; Saturday work may be required.

Qualifications

• Read a tape measure to 1/4 inch with accuracy.
• Dependable with good attendance and attitude.
• Willingness to learn and follow directions precisely.
• Clear verbal and written communication abilities.
• Able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Stand for 8–12 hour shifts and work Saturdays when required.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble pipe per instructions.
• Use various machinery in fabrication shop.
• Study and interpret assembly instructions.
• Read parts list and verify all parts are present.
• Ensure parts are fitted and screwed properly.
• Troubleshoot issues and report to management as needed.
• Maintain safe, clean working environment.
