Job summary

Shambaugh & Son L.P. is seeking a 1st Shift Welder for our Fire Fabrication shop to cut and weld steel pipe using a universal welder. The role requires reading blueprints, taking measurements, and following specifications to ensure quality welds.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of welding experience, can read a tape measure, and is dependable with good attendance. Weekend work may be required depending on project needs.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints and drawings.
• Take measurements to plan layouts.
• Set up welding machine according to specifications.
• Weld components using semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions.
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
• Test all machine welds to ensure quality.
• Weld by hand any leaks found in quality penetration die test.
• Other duties as assigned.
