Job summary

S.A. Comunale is seeking an Inspector Trainee to perform NFPA-based inspections of water-based fire systems, fire alarm systems, and fire extinguishers. Travel to customer sites will be required and the role focuses on customer development, quality work, and understanding NFPA codes that support each system.

The position involves learning to perform inspections, basic troubleshooting, and documenting tickets and inspection reports in a timely manner, with elevation work up to 40 feet as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational or industry trade school is a plus.
• Basic mechanical skills and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 35 pounds without assistance; able to walk, stand, and climb stairs for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Learn to perform NFPA 25 inspections on Wet, Dry, Deluge and Pre-Action Sprinkler Systems.
• Learn NFPA 72 inspections on Fire Alarm systems and components.
• Learn NFPA 25 inspections on Standpipe Systems and Fire Hydrants.
• Learn NFPA 10 inspections on Fire Extinguishers.
• Complete and submit work tickets and inspection reports promptly.
• Self-schedule daily inspections and assist with customer development.
