Tessera seeks a knowledgeable Fire Alarm Mechanic Technician II to inspect, test, and maintain complex water-based fire protection systems, including AFFF deluge systems. NICET II certification and backflow credentials are required, with five ability to obtain additional licenses within one year.

Role involves testing, issuing preventive maintenance, and ensuring NFPA/UFC code compliance, while working under limited supervision.

Qualifications

• NICET II certification required for the role.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Fire Alarm Systems.
• Backflow Assembly Tester (BAT) certification required within 1 year.
• Backflow specialty plumber (PL30) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Test and inspect building water-based fire protection systems.
• Test fire-related backflow assemblies and work toward WA state PL30.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on various fire protection systems including AFFF Deluge, Low-Expansion Foam, Pre-Action, Dry, Water Mist and Water Spray.
