Job summary

EMI Services, a TechFlow subsidiary, seeks a NICET II Fire Alarm Technician to install, test, maintain, and repair fire safety systems in commercial and residential buildings. The role includes inspections, emergency response, and cost estimation for materials.

Unionized position with access to comprehensive benefits. Requires NICET II, 3+ years in facilities maintenance, and US citizenship for military access; valid driver’s license; pre-employment screening.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent technical training/experience.
• NICET II certification is required.
• 3+ years of industrial/commercial facilities maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of NFPA standards (70 & 72).
• Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one (REAL ID compliant).
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check required.
• U.S. citizenship required for access to military installations.

Responsibilities

• Install or upgrade fire alarms in commercial/residential buildings.
• Test and repair alarm systems; perform inspections to ensure proper installation according to code.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports; document issues and estimate material costs.
• Respond to emergency service calls and ensure systems function properly.
• Maintain licenses/identification and comply with governmental regulations.
