M.C. Dean is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Technician 2 to perform inspections, testing, and maintenance of water-based sprinkler systems across diverse residential, commercial, and industrial sites. The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and reliable system operation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (required) with 5 years of relevant experience OR 2 years technology degree and 4 years of relevant experience.
• This position has been identified as requiring an additional client background check.
• NICET II in Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems is required or must be achieved within 90 days of employment.
• NICET III certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test fire alarm systems, including control panels, detectors, horns, strobes, and other components.
• Perform preventive maintenance like cleaning, calibration, and adjustment of fire alarm system components.
• Replace faulty components, document inspections and repairs, and respond to emergency repairs.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and national fire safety regulations and maintain proper documentation.
• Communicate findings to clients and coordinate with team members on inspections and repairs.
• Assist in installation and commissioning of new fire alarm systems and participate in training.
