Job summary

CertaSite is seeking a Fire Alarm & Suppression Level I technician dedicated to life safety and customer service. You will install, inspect and test fire alarm and engineered suppression systems, perform programming and customer training, and document results. A NICET Level I certification and basic math ability are required, along with a valid U.S.

driver’s license. The role involves NFPA-compliant inspections, service repairs, and on-site/off-site troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• 6 months of technical experience with fire detection and signaling systems.
• NICET 1 Certification in Fire Alarm Systems.
• Ability to perform basic math (fractions, decimals, percentages).
• Ability to use computers and software applications such as Windows, Word, iOS, Android and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, inspection and testing of fire alarm and suppression systems per NFPA codes and standards.
• Program, test, inspect, create as-built drawings, and train customers for installations; troubleshoot and service systems.
• Record and document inspections, repairs, discrepancies, and recommendations.
• Maintain positive relationship with customers and communicate needs for follow-up, quotes, or questions.
• Keep the vehicle clean and stocked with parts and tools to perform the job.
• Ensure safety program compliance and proper PPE.
• Provide on-site and remote troubleshooting as needed.
• Discuss deficiencies with customers and propose resolutions.
• Occasionally work nights, weekends, or holidays; heights and confined spaces may be involved.
