Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a field service technician to perform service and repairs on portable fire extinguishers, kitchen hood systems, and suppression gas systems at customer sites in the Salt Lake City area.

You will read blueprints, interpret specifications, and troubleshoot a range of systems from Simplex to ANSUL, while managing daily service calls and customer interactions. A valid US driver’s license and FEL-A are preferred for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Perform service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems & Suppression Gas Systems at customer sites.
• Service, troubleshoot and install many different manufacturers including Simplex and ANSUL.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
• Manage daily service call, customer activity and program system products.
• Work with clean agent systems, dry chemical systems, and special hazards.

What you will do

Perform service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems & Suppression Gas Systems in addition to other related building system products at customer sites. Service, troubleshoot and install many different manufacturers including Simplex and ANSUL. Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs,schematics,and operational product manuals. Manage daily service call, customer activity and program system products. You will work with clean agent systems, dry chemical systems, and special hazards.

How you will do it

• Assist customers with all questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Participation in an on-call rotation for Emergency Service.
• Performs inspections of Suppression Gas Systems based on contract requirements.
• Inspect customer systems
• Use of Smart Phone and Equipment

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $$22.59 - $31 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
