Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking technicians to service portable fire extinguishers, kitchen hood systems and suppression gas systems at customer sites. You will read blueprints, troubleshoot and install equipment from multiple manufacturers and manage daily service calls.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of experience, strong communication, and solid PC skills. On-call rotations for emergency service may apply, with competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.
• Strong customer-facing service and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient PC skills including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

What you will do

Perform service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems & Suppression Gas Systems in addition to other related building system products at customer sites. Service, troubleshoot and install many different manufacturers including Simplex and ANSUL. Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs,schematics,and operational product manuals. Manage daily service call, customer activity and program system products. You will work with clean agent systems, dry chemical systems, and special hazards.

How you will do it

• Assist customers with all questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Participation in an on-call rotation for Emergency Service.
• Performs inspections of Suppression Gas Systems based on contract requirements.
• Inspect customer systems
• Use of Smart Phone and Equipment
• May include government work

What we look for

Required

• 4+ years of experience
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Outstanding Customer facing service and problem-solving skills
• PC Skills including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook

Preferred

• Any Manufacturer certifications is a plus; ANSUL, KiddiePyroChem
• Local and State license if required.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $30.09 - 41.34 Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
