Johnson Controls is seeking a field service technician to perform service and repairs on portable fire extinguishers, kitchen hood systems, and suppression gas systems at customer sites in Rochester, NY.
The role involves reading blueprints and specifications, troubleshooting equipment, and managing daily service calls. On-call rotation for emergencies is included; a valid US driver’s license and relevant manufacturer certifications are a plus.
Perform service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems & Suppression Gas Systems in addition to other related building system products at customer sites. Service, troubleshoot and install many different manufacturers including Simplex and ANSUL. Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics and operational product manuals. Manage daily service call, customer activity and program system products.
HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $16.30- 31.73 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
