Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Field Service Technician to service Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems and Suppression Gas Systems at customer sites across Georgia. You will read blueprints, diagrams and manuals, and manage daily service calls with professional, customer-focused communication.

This role includes on-call emergency service rotation, on-site inspections, and performance of system installations.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Outstanding customer-facing service and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to pass drug test and background check; clean driving record.
• Experience with on-site service and field repairs is a plus.

What you will do

Perform service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems & Suppression Gas Systems in addition to other related building system products at customer sites. Service, troubleshoot and install many different manufacturers including Simplex and ANSUL. Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics and operational product manuals. Manage daily service call, customer activity and program system products.

How you will do it

• Assist customers with all questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Participation in an on-call rotation for Emergency Service.
• Performs inspections of Suppression Gas Systems based on contract requirement

• Any Manufacturer certifications is a plus; ANSUL, Kiddie PyroChem

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $23-31 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
