Job summary

The Hiller Companies, LLC has an immediate opening for a Fire Sprinkler Service Technician. You will inspect, test, repair, and maintain fire sprinkler systems to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with clients, contractors, and authorities to address issues and protect life and property. Responsibilities include inspections per NFPA 25, reporting findings, testing components, and performing maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in fire alarm systems preferred.
• CalFire Certified Fitter Card is required.
• NICET certifications are strongly preferred.
• Experience installing, maintaining, and repairing fire sprinkler systems in commercial/industrial settings.
• Strong troubleshooting and excellent communication skills with customers.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, repair, and maintain fire sprinkler systems to NFPA 13/25 standards.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, test results, and deficiencies.
• Test system components including heads, valves, piping, pumps and controls.
• Inspect piping for corrosion, leaks, or damage and recommend repairs.
• Perform maintenance tasks and component replacements for optimal performance.
• Inspect fire pump assemblies and test flow rates and pressures.
• Respond to service calls and emergencies to restore functionality.
• Document all activities in the Service Trade platform.
• Collaborate with Deficiency Sellers for inspection reports and repair estimates.
• Communicate findings to clients and schedule work with Service Coordinators.
