Job summary

The Hiller Companies, LLC is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Service Technician to inspect, test, repair, and maintain fire sprinkler systems, ensuring NFPA compliance and occupant safety. You will collaborate with clients, contractors, and regulators to address issues and maintain system integrity.

You will perform routine inspections, report findings, test pumps and controls, and respond to service calls with vigilance and professionalism. Travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in fire alarm systems preferred.
• Solid understanding of fire protection codes and NFPA standards (NFPA 13, NFPA 25) and related codes.
• Minimum 2 years experience; NICET certifications strongly preferred.
• Experience installing, maintaining, and repairing fire sprinkler systems in commercial/industrial settings.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, repair, and maintain wet, dry and pre-action sprinkler systems per NFPA 25.
• Prepare detailed inspection and test reports with findings and deficiencies.
• Test system components: heads, valves, piping, pumps, controls.
• Inspect piping and fittings for corrosion, leaks, or damage; recommend repairs.
• Perform maintenance and cleaning; replace damaged components; adjust settings for performance.
• Test Fire pump assemblies for flow, pressure, and integrity.
• Respond to service calls; diagnose problems and restore function.
• Document all activities and materials used; update service platform and reports.
• Collaborate with Deficiency Sellers for reports and repair estimates.
• Schedule work with clients; discuss findings and provide upgrade recommendations.
• Coordinate with Service Coordinators to optimize orders and timelines.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment per safety guidelines.
