What you will do
- Receive service calls from Service Resource Center, including a brief description of equipment/system malfunctions.
- Contact customer representative and ascertain equipment/systems problems.
- Perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, and residential applications, including but not limited to wet (steel, copper, and CPVC), dry, pre-action, deluge, and fire pumps.
- Follow troubleshooting procedures and refer to manuals, notices, and bulletins to diagnose and repair equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics, and manuals.
- Provide effective customer service by communicating with staff and customers to ensure satisfaction.
- Complete Service Acknowledgements electronically with proper coding and obtain customer signatures.
- Participate in scheduled On-call rotations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What we look for
Required
- Four years of documented experience in Fire Sprinkler systems.
- Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and manuals.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Willingness to travel.
- Ability to follow instructions and perform physical labor (carrying/moving tools up to 70 lbs).
- Ability to work in challenging positions and environments (ladders, scaffolding, ducts, crawl spaces, etc.).
- Flexible hours including weekends and overnight travel.
- High customer service skills and inventory management.
- Adherence to safety guidelines.
- Strong organizational skills and positive attitude.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to pass background and drug tests.
Preferred
- NICET Level II certification.
