Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Fitter to install sprinkler heads, valves, and steel and CPVC piping in new constructions and renovations. Work is performed with minimal supervision and a strong emphasis on safety.

The role requires reading blueprints, coordinating with field crews, and maintaining tools and work areas. Candidates should have HS diploma and 3–5 years of piping experience, plus a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3–5 years’ experience installing pipe systems and valves.
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
• Construction experience preferred.
• Basic math, mechanical aptitude, problem solving, customer service, decision making, multitasking, and ability to train others are required.

Responsibilities

• Cut, fabricate, and install steel and CPVC piping as designed for fire sprinkler systems.
• Install and hang pipe, sprinkler heads, fittings, valves, hangers and other components per blueprints.
• Install and trim valves for wet, dry, and pre-action systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure correct construction of sprinkler systems.
• Maintain clean, safe, and orderly work areas and tools.
