Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Fitter to install steel and CPVC pipe, sprinkler heads, valves and fittings in new and renovated structures. You will read blueprints, follow design documents, and work with minimal supervision on varied projects.

The role requires 3-5 years of pipe-installation experience, a valid driver’s license, and strong teamwork, math, and problem-solving skills. Safety training and apprenticeship support are provided by the company.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3-5 years of experience installing pipe systems and valves.
• Able to work alone or in a team.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to read blueprints and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Cut, fabricate, and install steel and CPVC pipe as designed for fire sprinkler system.
• Install and hang pipe, sprinkler heads, fittings, valves, hangers and other components per blueprints.
• Install and trim valves for wet, dry, and pre-action systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure proper construction of sprinkler systems.
• Maintain clean, safe, and orderly work areas and report progress daily to foreman.
• Assist in training sprinkler apprentices and participate in safety programs.
