Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Fitter to install sprinkler heads, valves, and steel/CPVC pipes in new builds and renovations with minimal supervision. You will cut, fabricate, and install piping and components per blueprints, and ensure compliance with safety standards on every project.

The role requires 3-5 years of installation experience, the ability to read blueprints, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience installing pipe systems and valves.
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
• Math, mechanical aptitude, problem solving, customer service and multitasking skills; ability to meet schedules.

Responsibilities

• Cut, fabricate, and install steel and CPVC pipe per design.
• Install and hang pipe, sprinkler heads, valves, and fittings per blueprints.
• Install and trim valves for wet, dry, and pre-action systems.
• Read blueprints and ensure system is built as designed.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and tools.
• Report progress to field foreman daily and assist training of apprentices.
• Follow safety programs and participate in toolbox talks.
