Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Superintendent to lead all field activities for fire sprinkler installation. You will coordinate with the District office and foremen to ensure safety, quality, and on-time project completion.

Responsibilities include scheduling, material coordination, payroll review, safety training, and ongoing communication with customers and trades. OSHA 30 preferred; must read blueprints, operate computers, and travel locally as needed.

Qualifications

• High School, GED, or equivalent experience, required.
• OSHA 30 certification strongly preferred.
• 10 years' experience installing fire sprinkler systems, required.
• Customer service and billing experience, preferred.
• Possess strong leadership and communication skills.
• Must have the ability to effectively read, write and communicate in English with employees and customers.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, preferred.
• Ability to operate a computer and tablet, use Microsoft office and read electronic blueprints, required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required.
• Must be able to travel locally 90% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Schedule all field activities from pre-con meeting to permit and overhead installation.
• Coordinate with sales, design, and GC for project timelines.
• Plan manpower and 3-month scheduling.
• Ensure materials, plans, and info reach Foreman and designated contacts.
• Coordinate with Purchasing for materials and deliveries.
• Purchase or rent equipment as needed for each job.
• Participate in weekly progress meetings and report status.
• Follow up on punch-lists and obtain customer sign-offs.
• Report scheduling delays, personnel issues, and safety concerns to supervisor.
• Review time sheets and training records for accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure field personnel comply with job requirements and tasks.
• Coordinate hiring with Recruiting for field personnel.
• Maintain company vehicle and tool inventories.
• Ensure safety training and documentation are maintained and accessible.
• Travel locally up to 90%.
