Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Foreman to install sprinkler systems in new and renovated structures with minimal supervision. You will cut and install steel and CPVC piping, hang sprinkler heads, and coordinate with GC and subcontractors.

The role requires strong blueprint literacy, field leadership, and the ability to manage schedules and safety on multiple sites. Valid driver’s license and compliance with safety policies are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have English reading/writing skills and the ability to communicate clearly with team and customers.
• Construction experience and mechanical aptitude are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Cut, fabricate and install steel/CPVC pipe as designed for fire sprinkler system.
• Install and hang pipe, sprinkler heads, fittings, hangers and other components per blueprints and documents.
• Install and trim valves for wet, dry, and pre‑action systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure correct construction.
• Ensure project documentation is submitted on time (test papers, redlines, training materials).
• Attend job meetings and coordinate schedules with GC and other contractors.
• Monitor timelines and budgets, ensuring timely completion.
• Report scheduling issues, safety concerns to supervisor.
• Coordinate projects with superintendent, GC and crew; communicate with vendors professionally.
• Complete daily progress reports including changes, conflicts, and field conditions.
• Ensure materials are ordered and on site; organize storage and layout on site.
• Maintain company vehicle and keep work areas clean and safe.
• Train Sprinkler Fitters and Apprentices on job aspects.
• Follow safety programs and participate in toolbox talks.
