Job summary

Johnson Controls in the United States seeks a Service Technician to install, service and troubleshoot wet, dry and pre-action sprinkler systems and fire pumps.

You will read complex blueprints, follow verbal and written instructions, carry tools up to 60 pounds, work from heights, and keep a clean, safe work area while reporting changes to the dispatcher. Some on-call weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of industry experience.
• Knowledge of wet, dry and pre-action sprinkler systems and fire pumps.
• Clean driving record.
• Sprinkler and backflow licenses preferred; NICET is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Service and troubleshoot wet/dry/pre-action sprinkler systems and fire pump systems.
• Read and follow verbal and written instructions; review blueprints and specifications.
• Move equipment up to 60 pounds and work in ladders and elevated positions.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and report discrepancies to dispatcher.
• Wear required safety gear and secure tools after each shift.
