Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks a Fire Sprinkler Service Supervisor to lead the Sprinkler Service Department, ensuring safe, profitable service delivery for water-based systems. You will steward relationships with customers and oversee technicians and support staff.

The role requires deep sprinkler system expertise, leadership, and a track record of managing service operations with strong safety and quality standards. A Bachelor’s degree or NICET credential, plus relevant experience, is essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with water-based fire sprinkler systems (wet/dry/pre-action).
• 3–5 years supervisory/management experience with revenue/margin responsibility.
• NICET Level II in Water-Based Systems or higher.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong leadership, organizational and team-building skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds; climb ladders/scaffolding.

Responsibilities

• Manage Sprinkler Department to a financial plan including OPEX, labor, inventory, and receivables.
• Own departmental P&L with revenue growth, margins, and profitability.
• Drive new service bookings and grow existing accounts.
• Maintain strong customer relationships from engagement through contract fulfillment.
• Ensure service commitments and contractual obligations are met.
• Coach technicians and staff; enforce safety programs and EH&S policies.
• Review blueprints and specifications to support job execution.
• Approve time reports, service documentation, and field issues.
