Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler Technician in New York to lay out, fabricate, assemble, install and maintain sprinkler systems and piping networks. You will work from blueprints, measure materials, and ensure safety and quality on diverse job sites.

The role requires 3–5 years of installing pipe systems, a valid fire sprinkler license, and the ability to work independently or with a crew. Strong math, problem solving, and customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Advanced technical school training or related work experience preferred.
• Current Fire Sprinkler License required.

Responsibilities

• Install pipe systems and valves according to specifications.
• Cut, thread, assemble and bond piping and tubes as per drawings.
• Modify, clean and maintain pipe systems, units and fittings.
• Remove and replace worn components to ensure system integrity.
• Follow blueprints to meet product specifications and schedules.
• Compute material measurements to verify specifications.
• Mentor and coach apprentices and helpers on installation techniques.
• Ensure company vehicle is clean and maintained per policies.
