Johnson Controls is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Inspector 2 in Rancho Cucamonga, CA to perform routine inspections, testing and maintenance on fire sprinkler systems and related life-safety products, ensuring quality, safety and code compliance.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, NICET I certification (within 12 months), ability to obtain licenses, physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs, and a valid driver’s license with willingness to travel; on-call nights and weekends are

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• NICET I certification within 12 months of hire.
• Able to obtain and retain licenses required by codes.
• Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specs, schematics, and manuals.
• Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage.
• Capable of physical labor including carrying/moving equipment up to 50-70 lbs.
• Willing to travel out of town and work flexible hours including on-call, nights, and weekends.
• Must pass pre-employment background and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test electrical, sprinkler or suppression life-safety product lines.
• Document deficiencies accurately and communicate them effectively.
• Represent the company professionally at all times.
• Complete service inspections with proper coding via devices (laptop, phone, or paper).
• Maintain a structured inspection schedule and complete tasks on time.
• Assist foreman in installing wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems.
