Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of sprinkler inspection experience.
• Able to obtain licenses required by National, State and Local codes.
• Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, programs schematics and operation manuals.
• Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage.
• Capable of lifting 50–70 lbs.
• Flexible hours including on-call, nights and weekends; travel may be required.
• Demonstrate strong customer service and safety mindset.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Pass pre-employment background and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspections meeting customer expectations.
• Document deficiencies accurately during inspections.
• Represent the company professionally at all times.
• Complete Service Acknowledgement/inspections with proper coding.
• Follow and maintain a highly structured inspection schedule.
• Make minor repairs and programming changes to systems being inspected.
• Complete assigned inspections on time.
• Carry/move equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs.
• Assist foreman in the installation of sprinkler systems.
• Work in ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment.
• Be enrolled in Grinnell's approved Apprenticeship Program and meet requirements.
• Maintain a positive attitude and quick learning ability.
