Job summary

Century Fire Protection in Greenwood, SC is seeking personnel to assist in installing and maintaining fire sprinkler systems for commercial, residential, and industrial projects. You will lay out pipe runs, connect fittings, and mount sprinkler heads while following safety and code requirements.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with 0–6 months of related experience; a pre-employment drug screen and background check are required, and overtime may be possible.

• Assist in the installation and repair of fire sprinkler systems per specifications
• Lays out strings (pipe) along designated pipeline settings in field.
• Connects pipe, using snap lock or wrench to tighten collar clamp.
• Attaches revolving sprinkler heads to vertical pipes at designated points along pipeline.
• Communicate with foreman and/or superintendent any safety hazards and discrepancies found on job site.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Adhere to company safe working policies and procedures at all times.

Summary

Assist in the installation of wet, dry, pre-action and deluge fire protection piping, valves and accessories for commercial, residential buildings, and industrial applications in compliance with current codes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Lays out strings (pipe) along designated pipeline settings in field.
• Connects pipe, using snap lock or wrench to tighten collar clamp.
