Job summary

Century Fire Protection in Orlando, FL is seeking a helper to assist in the installation of wet, dry, pre-action and deluge fire protection piping, valves and accessories for commercial and residential buildings, complying with current codes. You will lay out pipe, connect components, install sprinkler heads, and communicate safety hazards to the foreman while maintaining a clean, safe work site.

A high school diploma or GED is required, with 0–6 months of related experience; pre-employment drug

• High School Diploma or GED; or 0-6 months related experience or training.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation and repair of fire sprinkler systems per specifications
• Lays out strings (pipe) along designated pipeline settings in field.
• Connects pipe, using snap lock or wrench to tighten collar clamp.
• Attaches revolving sprinkler heads to vertical pipes at designated points along pipeline.
• Communicate with foreman and/or superintendent any safety hazards and discrepancies found on job site.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Adhere to company safe working policies and procedures at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Additional Requirements

Pre-employment drug screens; overtime may be required.
