Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Fitter/Mechanic for contract-to-hire work in White Plains, NY. You will install, fit, and maintain fire sprinkler systems on mid-rise and high-rise construction projects, working with various pipe types and RIDGID equipment to install main lines and sprinkler heads.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, laying out systems, installing and testing components, and ensuring safety at all times on active sites in White Plains and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of fire sprinkler fitting/mechanic experience.
• Experience with screw pipe, groove pipe, sprinkler pipe, and cast iron.
• Proficient with RIDGID 300 machines and threading equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.
• Experience on commercial, mid-rise, or high-rise projects.
• OSHA 30 and SST 10 certifications preferred.
• Strong safety awareness and reliable productivity.

• Troubleshoot and make minor adjustments during installation.
• Follow OSHA, site safety, and fire protection code requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and wear required PPE.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of White Plains, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
