Pye-Barker Fire & Safety in Schertz, TX is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer to create layout drawings for commercial, industrial, and residential projects. You will apply NFPA codes, perform hydraulic calculations, and coordinate with project teams to ensure code-compliant, safe systems.

The ideal candidate holds an active RME-G license, strong CAD skills (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks), and 3+ years of sprinkler design experience, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active RME-General license issued by the Texas State Fire Marshal's office (RME-G).
• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in engineering, drafting or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in fire sprinkler design and AutoCad.
• Experience using AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, AutoSPRINK, BIM 360.

Responsibilities

• Apply fire protection codes to design sprinkler systems and water supplies.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and reports.
• Develop working layouts and final master drawings.
• Coordinate with engineers/contractors to ensure code compliance.
• Analyze hydraulic calculations and prepare material lists.
• Assist with proposal documents and technical data.
