Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer to create layout drawings for fire sprinkler systems in commercial, industrial, and residential projects. You will read blueprints, apply NFPA codes, and perform hydraulic calculations to ensure safe, compliant installations.

The role requires CAD software expertise, strong knowledge of fire protection standards, and collaboration with project teams to meet client requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience applying fire protection codes and standards to design of sprinkler systems.
• Ability to read architectural/MEP drawings and compute layouts.
• Proficient in hydraulic calculations and CAD tooling.
• NICET Level II+ certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and prepare layout drawings for fire sprinkler systems in various settings.
• Interpret blueprints and technical reports to ensure code compliance.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers and contractors.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and prepare material lists.
• Assist with proposal documents and technical data.
• Ensure designs meet NFPA and local building codes.
